Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Lucas and Eric Confront Each Other!

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, August 23 feature emotions on edge as Eric was confronted about his feelings for Nicole, and Lucas continued his downward spiral.

Confronted by the Truth
Eric (Greg Vaughan) ran into Lucas who berated him for having an affair with Nicole (Arianne Zucker). Eric told him that he would never do that to Brady (Eric Martsolf) but then Lucas asks him to deny having feelings for Nicole. Eric realized Lucas was drunk and tried to help him but Lucas left.

The truth is, Eric is in love with Nicole and he’s having a hard time with those feelings. So being Eric, he tried to put his words to paper. It seems writing is the only way he can be truly honest about what’s going on in his heart.

Off the Wagon
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) then had it out with his mother. After she realized he was drinking, Kate (Lauren Koslow) tried tough love and threatened to fire him if he didn’t sober up. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Abigail (Marci Miller) could also see Lucas was drinking again when he showed up drunk at Abby’s hospital room.

Marital Strife
The hits kept coming for Kate when Andre (Thaao Penghlis) confronted her about kissing Roman (Josh Taylor) out in the open at the Brady Pub. He pointed out that wouldn’t make the DiMera board very happy. She blew him off, which ticked off Stefano’s firstborn son more than she was prepared to deal with.

Going to the Chapel
Chad (Billy Flynn) was bursting to share his good news with Andre and Kate about Abigail agreeing to marry him. Andre was thrilled, but Kate was sour on Gabi’s behalf. Later, Chad and Sonny (Freddie Smith) realized they both have the same news to share with each other. Can Salem handle this much happiness?
