The Surprising 80s Icon Star Who YOU Want on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)!

Rumors abound that a primetime soap star from the 1980s will begin a recurring stint on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) this summer.

The names in the mix include Patrick Duffy, Donna Mills, Joan Collins and Morgan Fairchild, who, collectively, have appeared on Dallas, Knots Landing, Dynasty, and the short-lived Paper Dolls.

Any one of the aforementioned stars would be an intriguing addition to DAYS, and fans have been speculating about whom they could possibly play – Duffy as a new Brady; Mills or Fairchild as Tripp’s grandmother; or Collins as a foe from Victor’s past.

Soap Hub asked which of the fabulous four actors you most want to see on DAYS. Here are the results of our poll.

Patrick Duffy
Of the over 6,000 fans that responded, 41% of you would love to see Patrick Duffy join the Salem set. The Brady family has been in need of a top dog, since Bo’s unfortunate demise.

Perhaps Duffy could play a long, lost cousin of the late Shawn. The handsome Irishman would be a perfect new love interest for Kate (Lauren Koslow).

Donna Mills
Some 36% of you are hoping Donna Mills is the 80s star coming to DAYS. You loved her as Abby on Knots Landing and enjoyed her performance as Nina’s meddling and manipulative mom, Madeline, on General Hospital (GH).

You could easily see her segue into the role as Tripp’s (Lucas Adams) equally manipulative grandmother, which would mean lots of turmoil and trouble for Steve and Kayla.

Joan Collins
Meanwhile, 13% of you would eagerly welcome Joan Collins to the soap. You could envision of her as a backstabbing business woman, who went head-to-head with Victor (John Aniston), decades ago, and lost. She could return to settle an old score.

Morgan Fairchild
The remaining 10% of you picked Morgan Fairchild as the primetime soap vet you’d most like to see surface on DAYS. She, too, would be a great candidate to play Tripp’s grandma or a new socialite who comes to town and sets her sights on Victor.

She could certainly shake things up for the Kiriakis patriarch and his devoted wife, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers).
