Days of Our Lives Fans Have Mixed Feelings About a New Abby

Fans have known for months that “Days of Our Lives” planned to recast Kate Mansi. The show searched high and low to find their brand-new Abby and finally did in the form of actress Marci Miller.

While Miller won’t be seen on screen till fall and Mansi’s last shows have yet to air, fans are getting ready for a new face in Chad’s life. Soap Hub asked if you’re excited to see Miller take over the role and test out her chemistry with Billy Flynn’s Chad.

Out of nearly 10,000 votes, 62% of you are anxious to see ho things will work out. You’ve dealt with many recasts during your time as soap fans and know that sometimes soaps can strike gold.

After all, Mansi wasn’t the first actress to play Abigail as a young woman and Casey Deitrich originated the role of Chad. Both recasts worked out beyond expectations, so you’re excited to see what Miller brings.

A smaller 32% can’t see anyone as Abby except Mansi and do not hold out hope that this recast will work out. You’re willing to give it a try, but definitely wouldn’t say you’re excited for it.

The final 6% don’t even care. You felt “Chabby” had taken over Salem for a while there and will enjoy a break. When Miller debuts as the new Abby, you’ll see how you feel about the recast then.
