Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Stefan And Gabigail Play Cat And Mouse

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for February 26 features Stefan and Gabigail playing a dangerous game with each other – with Chad neither one the wiser.

Playing With Fire
Gabigail (Marci Miller) wanted to let Chad (Billy Flynn) see her with a shirtless Stefan (Tyler Christopher), over his objections. So, she hid in the closet as Stefan confronted Chad about his theory that he killed Andre. Stefan told him to search his room.

Chad declined and offered to move out within the hour so Stefan backed off. Once gone, Gabigail slapped Stefan for scaring her. She asked for the lid back but he refused, telling her he wanted to see her again and get to know her.

Laying It Out There
Vivian (Louise Sorel) arrived at Victor’s (John Aniston) and suggested their two companies merge. When he said no way to a professional relationship, she inquired about a personal one. He was disgusted, of course, and even more so when she flashed him. He told her to cover up and stay out of his marriage.

Out of Sight
John (Drake Hogestyn) was to learn that Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) vision may be permanently damaged. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) was still cold to John and Steve tried to get John to forgive himself, but then Kayla let them know her fears were correct – he’s losing his sight.

John felt horrible but for some reason kept massaging Steve’s foot and then squeezed his toe before going (were the actors just having fun?). Kayla was furious at John but Steve got practical and asked if there were options. Kayla said maybe and Steve said he’ll take that. He then told her they’ll get through it together.

Be Careful What You Wish For
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) confided in Marlena (Deidre Hall) about Rafe’s infidelity. When she was low on details, she had to play the recording. Claire admitted it might not be her finest moment but suggested Hope deserved to know the truth. Marlena questioned if she just wanted to stir up trouble for Ciara.

Secret Wedding
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) surprised Rafe (Galen Gering) with a justice of the peace to marry them the night before Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) marries them in front of their family and friends the next day. He warned Julie will be ticked but Hope thought she’ll love it. She wanted to be stress free and he finally agreed.

Hope opened her heart with her personal vow, causing Rafe to want to make a confession. But instead he just said that he didn’t have his vows written yet and then he winged it. They were then declared husband and wife but chose not to tell anyone… yet.
