Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Eric Learns Roman’s Dating Anna

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for January 5 features Eric a little shocked to learn his father is dating his crazy ex-wife again!

Back in the Saddle
Eric (Greg Vaughan) was stunned to learn the identity of Roman’s (Josh Taylor) New Year’s Eve date – Anna (Leann Hunley). He questioned how Roman could get involved with his ex-wife again. Roman turned it around and asked about Jennifer. Eric admitted he wants to move on from Nicole and date Jennifer again.

Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) spoke with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) about what Ciara said to Eric that night she was drunk and Hope was mortified. She also talked about her feelings for Eric and her fear he put her in the friend zone.

Jennifer later ran into Anna on her way to talk with Eric. Anna said that Eric was talking about being in love with Nicole with Roman, totally taking their conversation out of context and breaking Jennifer’s heart in the process.

Caught In Web of Lies
Rafe (Galen Gering) talked to Ciara (Vivian Konefal) about her animosity towards him and she confirmed that she knows about him and Sami. Rafe explained he and Hope were broken up at the time, and Sami was a mess too. Rafe asked that she let him be the one to tell Hope. Just then, Hope arrived – surprised to see Rafe.

On the Job
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) were not happy to hear that DNA results confirmed that Stefan (Tyler Christopher) is Stefano’s son. Stefan said he’s fine with Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Andre (Thaao Penghlis) running Countess Wilhelmina and Abby in her PR role. Chad can be a VP again but Chad quit.

Chad again accused him of being the saboteur but Stefan denied it. Stefan asked who else wanted to follow leave the company like Chad, and Abigail raised a finger and walked out. Chad and Abby brainstormed on what’s next for them as they plotted against Stefan. Abby suggested they need their jobs back to get it done.

Plotting Duo
Andre and Kate decided to stay but Kate asked how they could get rid of Stefan and Vivian. Talk turned to their New Year’s kiss and Andre finally admitted his growing love for his wife.

Later, Chad called Kate and she said she was disappointed in him for quitting. He told her Abigail is going to fix it, which pleased Kate. Abigail went to see Stefan and he told her to enter – and he was naked. Downstairs, it was revealed that Andre and Vivian are partners in crime.
