The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, Janaury 5 features an end of the week cliff-hanger, as the Abbott children faced a challenge from Graham, Victoria forced Abby and Scott to work together, and Cane introduced a new person into his quest to reclaim Lily – and keep Billy away from the prime, Chancellor CEO seat.

You’ve Got Graham!
After the Christian kidnapping incident, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) insisted that their mother needs around-the-clock care. Jack (Peter Bergman) won’t agree to a home, and took Ashley to visit one. She ultimately agrees they can’t send their mother away.

Meanwhile, Traci (Beth Maitland) babysat Dina (Marla Adams), who insisted that just because a mother may leave her children, that doesn’t mean she stops loving them. Guess Jack, Ashley, and Traci should suck it up and take comfort in that.

Graham (Max Shippee) showed up and, quite reasonably, pointed out that, since he’s stopped taking care of Dina, she’s burned down a bar, stabbed Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and absconded with a child. (He didn’t mention he helped with that last one.)

Jack threw Graham out of the house, but the latter reminded that his medical power of attorney is still good in Wisconsin!

Word Crimes
Abby (Melissa Ordway) told Scott (Daniel Hall) she didn’t appreciate Sharon (Sharon Case) branding her a slut, when it was Scott who cheated, not her. Scott admited he has feelings for both women. Abby didn’t care.

She did care about Victoria (Amelia Heinle) assigning them to work together, but, by the end of the day, had found a way to get out of it by scheduling a trip to Paris.

That’s How She Became the Nanny
Cane (Daniel Goddard) hired a sexy young woman named Bridget to be Sam’s new nanny. He introduced her to Billy (Jason Thompson), hoping she might distract him from going after Cane’s job. But  he did give any thought to what it might do for his potential reunion with Lily (Christel Khalil)?
