Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: The Double Wedding Is ON!

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, August 29 features Lucas getting the surprise of his life, John and Marlena trying to connect, Hattie shocking Andre, and the two engaged couples decide on a 2-for-1 wedding edition.

Double the Bliss
Paul (Chrisopher Sean) told Sonny (Freddie Smith) he’s worried about his dad. He hasn’t been able to tell him the good news about their engagement.

While he investigates, Sonny visited with Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) and Abby says she wasn’t joking about a double wedding — so it’s on!

Foggy Memory
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) woke up to find Anjelica (Morgan Fairchild) dead in his bed and freaked out. Poor Lucas then turned to Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) to help get him out of this horrible jam.

She went over the evening with him and neither could understand why he can’t remember who he slept with. Sure, he was bombed, but seriously??! He thought it was Adrienne but then realized she was someone else. Either way, there’s no way he’d have hurt Anj! Chloe agreed to let him go and call 911 anonymously.

Escape Artists
John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) remained trapped at the sanitarium, thanks to Hattie and her dirty dealings.

They tried to find a way out of their predicament and, considering what they both bring to the table, it’s not going to be a question of if but rather when they get away. But Marlena missed John holding her and he talked her through imagining just that. Guess that’s supposed to satiate the audience in the meantime.

Double the Trouble
Andre (Thaao Penghlis) taunted Kate (Lauren Koslow) that her reign as CEO would be measured in hours and soon he’ll have the crown. Andre later asked for “Marlena’s” help, because he needs a doctor to say he’s not a danger to society.

But, Hattie flipped out when he told her Kate’s having an affair with Roman (Josh Taylor). Suddenly, him turning her down made sense and she blurted out that they were the worst couple ever. Andre’s thrilled and thinks this means she’ll help him.
