Hank Northrop is joining the Salem fold. The daytime newcomer is the son of the late Wayne Northrop, the original actor who played Roman Brady on DAYS, and Lynn Herring, who starred as Lucy on General Hospital. His character, which has yet to be revealed, will debut later this year. According to TV Insider, Northrop will work closely with James Reynolds’ Abe, who was best friends with Roman during their early years on the soap.
Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves are back on set filming scenes as Jack and Jennifer Deveraux. Their TV son, Casey Moss, who plays JJ, shared a photo of himself with the pair on Instagram. The two actors are joining a slew of former cast members who will be returning for the show’s 60th anniversary set to stream in November. Ashford and Reeves last aired in 2024.
Ros Gentle is back as the Woman in White/Rachel Blake. She shares scenes with Galen Gering’s Rafe and Stephen Nichols’ Steve on Friday, February 21.
