Days of our Lives C&G News

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring, or day-player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join the Days of our Lives fold in surprising new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the soap.

The week of September 26, 2022

An influx of characters, some old favorites, and a couple of newcomers are heading to Salem in the upcoming weeks; all of whom appeared in the soap’s fall preview.

This week, look for Marci Miller to resurface as the late Abigail DiMera. She’ll appear as a vision in emotional scenes opposite her husband Chad (Billy Flynn) and her mother Jennifer (Cady McClain).

Also, Kyle Lowder is back for another visit as Rex Brady. The character returns to Salem to visit his ailing mother, Kate (Lauren Koslow).

Among the other big returns will be Roark Critchlow, remembered as Dr. Mike Horton, later this month. And Lamon Archey will pop in as Eli Grant during the holidays.

On the newcomer front, Victoria Grace and Tanner Stine, who made their debuts in Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem, will premiere on the mother soap this month. Grace portrays Wendy Shin, Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) sister. Stine plays Joey Johnson, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) son. The character was previously portrayed by James Lastovic.

Days of our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) crazy schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Fans love their daytime soap operas, and the excitement in Salem is non-stop.
