Since leaving Days of our Lives, Jen Lilley has stayed plenty busy filming TV movies, most notably a handful of beloved Hallmark holiday films. But with GAC Media looking to become a bigger player in the holiday movie segment and romance movies overall, it’s signed some of Hallmark’s most popular stars away, and now Lilley is one of them.
Days of our Lives Alum Jen Lilley Inks New Film Deal
According to Deadline, the actress has signed a multi-picture deal with GAC Media, whose flagship brands include GAC Family and GAC Living.
“Thank you [Deadline] for making the announcement,” Lilley tweeted out, linking the story. “Let’s go #2022.”
Lilley most recently starred in the Hallmark film, Where Your Heart Belongs. She joins Hallmark staples Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan (ex-Jeremy Horton, DAYS) who are also heading to the GAC Family.
As part of her new deal, the actress will star in four original movies over the next two years. And this isn’t the first time Lilley has worked with GAC Media. She recently starred in GAC Family’s, Royally Wrapped for Christmas, which is destined to be a holiday franchise.
Also an accomplished singer, Lilley has released two popular music albums, including the 60s-inspired Hindsight in 2020 and the Christmas album Tinsel Time in 2015.
Not that her deal requires her to do just holiday fare. The actress has a stellar resume and can handle comedy or drama with aplomb.
“Aside from being an immensely talented and hardworking actor, Jen is a generous and kindhearted person who is a perfect fit for GAC,” Bill Abbott, president, and CEO of GAC Media told Deadline. “Many of us on the GAC team have known Jen for years, and we are excited to welcome her to the family as we work together to bring even more entertaining movies to our fans.”
So, does this mean we’ve seen the end of Theresa Donovan in Salem? Considering neither of her supercouple parents are on the canvas, and ex-love Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is hung up on Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), there’s probably no reason for a homecoming anytime soon. However, fans would love nothing more than for Jen Lilley to bring the character back—even if it’s just for a visit.
