Why It’s Time For Days of our Lives To Bring Dario Hernandez Home

The Days of our Lives Hernandez family has gone through a lot these last few months — Gabi Hernandez got taken for a ride by the Devil himself, while Rafe Hernandez had to deal with a figurative Devil — mafia queen Ava Vitali — framing him for a crime he didn’t commit as an act of revenge. You know who should have been on hand to help them both? Their brother, Dario Hernandez, that’s who!

Days of our Lives: All In The Family

Of course, for the last couple of years his portrayer, Jordi Vilasuso, has been playing Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless but now with the news that he’s leaving the show, it seems like a golden opportunity for DAYS to bring the character back to stir things up in Salem. After all, many of the same players are still around.

Before he left Salem, Dario had fallen head-over-heels in love with Abby Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller), since Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was briefly involved with Dario’s sister, Gabi (Camila Banus) when Abby returned from the dead.

Poor Dario made some very unfortunate choices while he was under Abby’s spell and he has a lot to make up for. Goons were on his tail, so he couldn’t rejoin his Days of our Lives family when other bad men were after their father, Eduardo Hernandez (A Martinez). But wouldn’t it be great if Dario and Eduardo found a way to solve both of their problems?

Rafe (Galen Gering) has started a feud with Ava (Tamara Braun) and that’s one scorned woman you don’t want to mess with. She’s already tried to frame him for a crime he didn’t commit and that plan fell flat. She’ll probably redouble her efforts. Rafe may be too good to deal with so much bad.

What if Dario returned, kept his identity a bit of a secret, and romanced Ava to find out what she has planned? He could also figure out that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is no good and talk his younger sister out of making more mistakes with him. Dario has seen a lot — and his willingness to blur the lines of good and evil could come in handy right now for his family — and we’re so ready to see it!
