Days of our Lives siblings are much more likely to be at each other’s throats than they are to be each other’s support systems. Just look at the entire DiMera clan. Or Li Shin and Wendy Shin. Which is why we’re such fans of Eric Brady and Brady Black’s relationship — at the moment.

Despite the whole Eric (Greg Vaughan) sleeping with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) while she was still with Brady (Eric Martsolf) debacle, when discussing blended families recently, Brady and Eric reaffirmed that they think of themselves as brothers – no matter what.
DAYS: I’ll Be There For You
But being brothers doesn’t mean everything is always sunshine and lollipops. Brady called out Eric for blaming Nicole for Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) abortion, and then made a couple of pointed comments about Eric’s one-night stand with Sloan Peterson (Jessica Serfaty).
Eric gave back as good as he got, pointing out that Eric doesn’t get to trash Sloan’s reputation when he is currently shacking up with one Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) — a woman who once raped Eric, but do we really need to go there?
Days of our Lives: That’s the Way It Should Be
Our point is, their sibling relationship isn’t idealized. It feels real. A fact made more obvious by the fact that, in the middle of their “your hook-up is worse than mine” confrontation, Eric still instinctively defended Brady when Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) came babbling at him for mistreating Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).
DOOL: Bright Light
Amidst EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) reminding Kristen that she stole him from his mother as a baby, Wendy (Victoria Grace) knowing that Li (Remington Hoffman) is lying to his fiancée, and even Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) gritting his teeth and baring Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) latest shenanigans, it’s nice to see Eric and Brady busting each other’s chops…but still remembering they’re family.
