Days of our Lives fans got their first glimpse of the new Holly Jonas when she gave her mom, Nicole Walker, permission to marry Rafe Hernandez. And demanded the wedding happen right away – with Holly as flower girl.

Nicole and the late Daniel Jonas’ daughter is now being played by daytime newcomer Elin Alexander. The Powers That Be wouldn’t have recast the role for just this one scene, would they have? We bet they have a longer story arc in mind.

Holly claimed she had no problem with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) marrying Rafe (Galen Gering) – he put Mommy in a good mood! But, the minute Rafe left the room, Holly wanted to know about ex-stepdad Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) – won’t he be sad that Nicole is moving on? Nicole placated her daughter, and Holly appeared to buy the explanation. But what if Holly was faking it? What if we’ve got a burgeoning bad seed on our hands, one who wants Mommy back with the defrocked priest, instead of the almost disgraced cop? And what if she’s willing to do just about anything to make it happen?

Days of our Lives: Blood Ties

Nicole is Holly’s mother, but Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) actually gave birth to her. She was supposed to be Nicole and Daniel’s surrogate but then decided to keep the baby for herself because she didn’t like the romantic choices Nicole was making. They went to court, and Nicole even went on the run with the baby – this was back when Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was the love of her life.

But what if, as is often the case in Salem, there was a medical screw-up? What if Holly really is Chloe’s biological child… and Brady is the father? We could end up back in court… and no time left for that wedding Holly is so excited about.
