Jan Spears’s baby was delivered prematurely on Days of our Lives. According to Dr. Marlena Evans Black, Jan’s going to be fine, but she and Shawn Brady’s son is in critical condition. Will the tot live to create maximum drama? Or will his death cause an unprecedented amount of havoc?
Days of our Lives: Heads He Lives
Did you see Shawn’s (Brandon Beemer) reaction when Marlena (Deidre Hall) announced he had a son? Guess Claire Bear hasn’t been enough for Daddy all these years, no matter what he claimed. Looks like Shawn was really hoping for a baby boy, but didn’t dare show it. Now that he finally has one, will be drawn to Jan (Heather Lindell), no matter how the infant was conceived.
Jan being the mother of Shawn’s long-awaited heir is likely to seriously annoy Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) to no end. And you know Jan is going to take every advantage she can of that situation.
Of course, the flip side is Belle and Shawn joining forces to get the little guy away from his crazy mama. Not only did she rape Shawn in order to conceive her bundle of joy, but Jan still has a prison term to serve out. Obviously, Shawn’s son would be better off with his father and stepmother. But we also doubt Jan will see it that way. Which makes for good drama!

Days of our Lives: Tails He Dies
DAYS has never been reluctant to kill off infants. Marlena’s firstborn suffered from crib death over 40 years ago and, most recently, both Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) went through the loss of a newborn.
Killing off Jan’s child would not only sever the connection between her and Shawn but also give Jan license to go crazier than ever. She’ll obviously blame Belle. But is it possible that she might become obsessed with little Bo Brady Weston… the child who she was deprived of babysitting… and who shares a grandfather – and namesake – with her lost son?
