A friend in need is a friend indeed, and DAYS’ Chad DiMera is the kind of guy who’s willing to go the extra mile to help out a bud…even if that means feeding a lecher’s fantasy and putting his goods on display. For his fanciful and farcical work, Billy Flynn rightfully earns Soap Hub’s Performer of the Week honors.

Billy Flynn – Performer of the Week

From the word go, Flynn was committed, wholeheartedly, to the material. He draped himself seductively in the set’s doorframe, set his eyes to stun, and made sure to put his best ass-ets on display whenever the opportunity presented itself. Is it any wonder that Greg Rikaart’s Leo Stark couldn’t say no to Chad’s come on?

Flynn also sold the audience on his impression of a stone-cold sober fellow putting on a convincing drunk act – and that takes some doing.

But where Flynn truly shined was when he allowed Chad to drop his guard – usually when Leo was just out range – and remind the audience that he was playing a man on a mission. Not a particularly pleasant mission, seeing as how Chad had no desire to actually make a move on Leo, but a mission nonetheless.

At one point we’d swear that Flynn actually looked straight into the camera, eyebrow crooked, as if to say, how far am I actually going to go here?

In a last-ditch effort to prolong the inevitable, Chad picked up a thread from Leo’s dialogue – “My lovemaking philosophy is based on the Ike and Tina Turner version of Proud Mary.” – and attempted to interest in his bedmate in a rousing discourse on Tina’s discography.

When that effort proved fruitless, Flynn both puckered up and did his best to scooch himself as far away from Rikaart as possible, a competing combination of moves that made for a hilarious gag.

Honorable Mention: Patrika Darbo

Rikaart’s onscreen nemesis got the last laugh when her Nancy Wesley realized that she had hubby Craig over a barrel. “You want to get married; you need a divorce first. A divorce from me!”
