In a single episode of Days of our Lives, Leo Stark told Craig Wesley that he was searching for excuses not to be with him, and Nancy Wesley made it clear how much the man who — as her flashback proved — once adored her, was now breaking her heart.

They were both right. And Craig came off as a heel in both interactions. In fact, the highlight of the episode was Leo (Greg Rikaart) trying to charm Nancy (Patrika Darbo)…and her putting the little brat in his place. In other words, Nancy and Leo are the best part of this triangle. And there is only one thing that could make it better.
Death, Not Be Proud
Whether or not Leo is only after Craig’s money, or just excited that money comes with also getting a guy as hot as Craig (Kevin Spirtas), the point is, we doubt Leo will waste any time in getting Craig to the altar…and eschewing a prenup. In that case, there are only two outcomes to this story. Leo is not conning Craig, and they live happily ever after. Leo is conning Craig, and the love-struck fool gets his heart broken. That’s not much of a story.

Then, on the other hand…what if Leo does get Craig to pledge his troth to the former con-man…after which Craig promptly drops dead. This leaves Leo and Nancy at each other’s throats about their places in Craig’s life. Nancy is the mother of his children! Leo was his husband for — minutes!
They can fight over the money. But also over the memories. And then the money some more. This could be funny. This could be dramatic. This could be tragic. This could be original. And it would give the two most interesting players in this triangle juicy material to play…and reasons to keep ending up in each other’s orbit.
