Gentlemen’s Agreement: How Li Shin Proved Himself on Days of our Lives

Li Shin has made it clear that he will do anything he needs to in order to get his way on Days of our Lives. He steps over the line often in business, with his family, and in his personal life, too.

Li Shin Is Ruthless

Li (Remington Hoffman) had no qualms about brainwashing Stefan into forgetting he loved Gabi (Camila Banus) and convincing him he loves Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), instead. Li really, really wanted to hold onto Gabi. But when his wife ate a bad batch of biscuits, hallucinated that Li was Stefan (Brandon Barash), and begged him to make love to her, Li…held off.

Days of our Lives: Dazed and Confused

Li knew something was up when Gabi suddenly started proclaiming her undying love for him. He kept asking questions, trying to ascertain what was going on, and making sure she knew what she was doing. When he realized that she didn’t, he refused to give in to her advances, even when it was apparent that he really wanted to.

Li Shin: Stand-Up Guy

Li clearly listened to all those lectures on consent the media had been preaching. Which is more than can be said for some of the other characters. Yeah, we get that Rafe (Galen Gering) was drugged, but his grabbing and kissing Jada (Elia Cantu) was less than gentlemanly. Neither were some of the things Stefan said to Melinda (Tina Huang) once he realized she wasn’t Gabi. Li is the only one who came out looking well during this bizarre BiscuitGate saga.

DAYS: Down the Line

This makes us wonder whether this might not be the first step toward Li’s redemption. He can still be a viable romantic lead. He certainly hasn’t done anything worse than other heroes, including EJ, Xander (Paul Telfer), and Steve (Stephen Nichols) have done. And now that he’s shown that he can be decent, time for Gabi to see her husband in a new light. She may have wanted him because she thought he was Stefan today…but who knows what tomorrow might bring.
