DAYS Prediction: Alex and Theresa Donovan Are Doomed

Days of our Lives want us to think that Theresa Donovan isn’t just out for Alex’s money. That she actually cares for him, and might be even be on the way to falling in love with him (and not just his money).

But could that ever happen? And, if it does, what happens after Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) finds out how Theresa (Emily O’Brien) blew up his life? It appears that this Salem couple may be doomed.

Meant To Be

Theresa falls in love pretty easily. With men…with money…and a man who has money — money that Theresa kind of, sort of, totally arranged for him to have, is a no-brainer. She’s going to fall in love with him because that is the only thing Theresa knows how to do. Alex is there, so Alex is the love of her life. She will be taking no questions at this time.

The Other Brother

So Theresa will tell herself she loves Alex. While we all know she’ll never get over Brady (Eric Martsolf). Not just because he’s Tate’s (Jamie Martin Mann) dad, but because he was the one she thought would be forever. Sure, his money was a nice perk, but, in that case, Theresa really fell for the man, not just the bank account.

Though, we have to ask, why does Theresa act like she grew up begging for scraps and toiling in a thimble factory? Her parents are upper middle class, if not low-key rich, considering Shane is some kind of English something royalty. Sure, they weren’t Greek billionaires like Victor (John Aniston), but what exactly did she lack?

Heart of the Matter

Shame that, in the end, even if Theresa truly falls for Alex, it won’t matter. Once he learns she forged the letter naming him as Victor’s bastard son, he’ll hate the sight of her. He’ll want to see Theresa suffer. And unless he defines that as being stuck with him forever, it means Theresa and he are history.
