When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the Days of our Lives week that was.

Days of our Lives: A Critic’s Week In Review

I know that Ron Carlivati gets a lot of flack…but I like Ron…really I do. Even when Ron gets on my nerves, I still like him. I also happen to think that Days of our Lives is the best soap currently airing. That all said, Ron really, really needs a lesson in balance.

If you’re possessed by the Devil, suspect that one of your fellow townspeople is possessed by the Devil, are a mystic who may or may not be able to suss out whether someone is possessed by the Devil, or if you’re name is Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), then this was your lucky week; you ate up almost all the airtime.

And because of this imbalance, Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) story has continued on offscreen, Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) escape from the SPD was resigned to a brief line of dialogue delivered by Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) to a clearly unbothered Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), and there’s been very little in the way of movement in the TR Coates (William Christian) storyline. Oh, and we’ve yet to be privy to a mother/daughter reunion between Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and an addled Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).

Come next week, the TR/Grant family saga will swing to the forefront of Days of our Lives, followed close behind by more Devil shenanigans. We may get a day or two of SaRenée drama, and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) is going to get a whole two-day spotlight. How about spreading the wealth a bit more Ron?

Further DAYS Musings

* Am I the only one surprised by the fact that Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) is actually experiencing consequences/fall out from her time spent possessed?

* I’ve begged before, and I’ll beg again. Please Days of our Lives, give Remington Hoffman and his Salem alter-ego Li Shin more to do.

* You know, when you lay it all on the line like Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) did, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) is crazy to stay with Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans).

Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Salem, check out all the latest that’s been posted on DAYS spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
