A Critic’s Review of Days of our Lives: Mind Games And Other Musings

When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the Days of our Lives week that was.

Days of our Lives: A Critic’s Week In Review

Now that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) has “benefitted” from MarDevil’s (Deidre Hall) counsel, who should be the next Salemite to sit across from her and get advice – and we do use that term loosely.

How about Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun)? Surely she needs someone to vent to, and we’re pretty sure the Devil would be quite smitten by this kitten with a whip…Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) could also use some help where his love life is concerned – and the evil one must have ideas of how to best deal with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).

And then there’s Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus); these two seem like the easily corruptible type, so Satan would have a field day. Oh, and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel); he’s already committed a plethora of sins, and it probably wouldn’t take much prodding to get him to commit a few more.

What of the teen scene? The Days of our Lives Devil of the 1990s loved himself a good triangle, so imagine the havoc he could wreck between Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold)…notice we made no mention of Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams); we expect MarDevil to make mincemeat out of that non-believing feller, and how.

Further DAYS Musings

* Exchange of the Week:

Marlena: Look, God forbid –

Satan: Don’t bring him into this!

* Philip, we’ll give you the advice that MarDevil won’t…break up with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin); do it now; she doesn’t love you, she has zero respect for your feelings or your concerns; she’s just not worth it.

* What We’d Love To See More Of: Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) John Black (Drake Hogestyn) impression.

* Worst New Prop: The Devil emoji haunting Marlena’s cellphone.
