When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the Days of our Lives week that was.
Okay, let’s accentuate the positive. Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) is a hoot and half! If Days of our Lives will insist on having its characters — or at least the majority of them — at the mercy of a maniacal, cackling James Bond-esque supervillain, then it could do a whole lot worse than Stefano’s true heir apparent. Color me intrigued to see where this goes.
I’m thrilled by the reunion of scheme-tasic dynamos EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker), and I can’t lie and tell you that I wasn’t tickled by Brady’s (Eric Brady) burning out Stefan’s (Brandon Barash) love for Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) with a souped-up ice-cream scoop and bar-b-q tongs.
I’m also not hating the idea of Li (Remington Hoffman) and Gabi (Camila Banus), Wendy (Victoria Grace), and Tripp (Lucas Adams) cohabitating…here’s hoping that DAYS is wise enough to wring out the comedy inherent in such a situation.
And boy did Julie Williams’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) righteous indignation have me in stitches.
* Kudos to DAYS for refusing to skimp on the Eric/Nicole flashbacks even though it was heartthrob Jensen Ackles playing the nascent shutterbug during the couples’ early courtship.
* Three cheers to Aunt Maggie (Suzanne Rogers)!
