After crying her way through life for the last year, Arianne Zucker may have built up quite an Emmy reel as Nicole Walker on Days of Our Lives, but now word comes that she’s leaving the soap she’s called home since the 90s.
According to Soap Opera Digest, it was Zucker’s choice to leave the 51-year-old soap.
“Two years ago, I was contemplating making the shift,” the actress told Digest. “I know there are a thousand girls who would take my job in a second, for me, it is my time to go.”
Fans will still see Nicole for quite a while, as Zucker’s contract is not up until next month and the show tapes six months in advance.
We have to wonder if she’ll just leave town with daughter Holly after getting legal custody, and not just kidnapping her.
If not, maybe she will be the one to kill Deimos, who we suspect will be murdered later this year as Vincent Irizarry is also leaving.
