Days of our Lives soap biology is very simple, even for Sarah Horton. The last baby Sarah had — and lost — was a girl. Poor little Mickey. This means that her next child will be a boy. And since she can’t keep her newborn son a secret forever, Sarah will have to let the cat out of the bag sooner or later.
So what will Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) name her baby to make it absolutely, positively clear that he is Rex’s (Kyle Lowder) bundle of joy, not Xander’s (Paul Telfer)? We’ve got our theories:
Rex Brady Jr. would be the obvious slam in Xander’s face. But it’s a mouthful. Sure, they could go with the soap opera staple, RJ. But we think it would be adorable if the tyke’s nickname were Tiny Rex. AKA…T-Rex.
Sarah named her daughter after her late adoptive father, Mickey, though her legal name was Mackenzie. Though it’s an androgynous name, we don’t recommend naming a living child after a dead sibling. Too much baggage there. However, Sarah could still go with Mickey’s full name, Michael. Her dad was Mickey. Her brother was Mike. They technically never had a long-running Michael on the canvas.
It’s kind of ironic that Roman’s (Josh Taylor) grandson, Johnny (Carson Boatman), is named after his step-grandpa, John (Drake Hogysten). So why not name Sarah and “Rex’s” baby after Roman? He could go by Romy. Or Rome. Or…yeah, we’re back to RJ.
Another relative of Rex’s is Kate (Lauren Koslow). Her maiden name is Roberts. How about Robert Horton Brady? That’s a lot of core families in one little fellow’s name. He could be Robby, Bobby, Robin…and if they go with the latter and Xander ever finds out he’s the real father, he can share a name with bestselling author Robin Cook!
