Should Ben Stick Around Town On Days of Our Lives (DOOL)?

Ben is back on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)! We all assumed he’d be back to disrupt Abby and Chad’s wedding, but — plot twist! — he was actually there to throw a monkey wrench into Sonny and Paul’s nuptials!

Ben claims Will (Chandler Massey) is still alive (though looking a bit different than the fellow Ben is actually believed to have killed). Welcome to typical soap opera couple-hood, Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Paul (Christopher Sean)!

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gaering) aren’t certain how they feel about Ben’s story yet, but fans are pretty adamant regarding how they feel about the possibility of Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) sticking around Salem!

No Way! Out!
Sure, Wilson is easy on the eyes, agree 65% of you, but Ben has gone beyond the pale. There is nothing he could do to redeem his previous evil acts — everything from kidnapping a pregnant Abigail (now Marci Miller) to killing the midwife who helped her deliver Thomas, to running off, and then abandoning the baby.

Salem might be a friendly town, but you’re ready to pull back that welcome mat before Ben gets too comfortable.

Stay a While
Excuse me, counter 18% of the audience. So Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) could stick around for decades, Andre (Thao Penhglis) can walk around freely, as can Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Steve (Stephan Nichols) and Tripp (Lucas Adams), but Ben’s crimes are unforgivable?

He deserves the same chance as they did, as well as the chance to stick around for a while.

Give Ben a Chance
Look, negotiate the minority 17%, how often does a hot guy who isn’t related to any of the eligible women on the canvas hit Salem? Let’s not be so hasty getting rid of Ben. How about a trial period? Maybe he’ll grow on you. If not, then you can ship him out of town.
