Belle Solo: Should Belle Stay On Days of Our Lives Even Without Shawn?

Belle and Shawn returned to Days of Our Lives for Marlena and John’s wedding, only to find out that their daughter’s new roommate was a serial killer… and to get caught up in a legal mess regarding Marlena’s last wishes.

As far as Belle (Martha Madison) knows, she got the plug pulled on her mom – and Marlena (Deidre Hall) started breathing on her own. Now “Marlena” (really ever-useful lookalike Hattie) is alive… if a bit crotchety. So Belle can head back out of town. But should she?

Over 5,000 fans weighed in on whether Belle should stick around – with or without Shawn (Brandon Beemer).

All the Single Ladies
Belle doesn’t need Shawn to set up home base in Salem, 66% of you decree. She’s got plenty of other family, starting with Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan), whose needed some parenting since she first got to town.

And Belle and Shawn have broken up before. It wouldn’t be so weird to have them do it again. This would free Belle up for a new love interest.

In the meantime, she can practice law. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) could certainly use some good representation now that Ted has disappeared. And so will her dad, John (Drake Hogysten), when the truth comes out about his freelance body switching.

All Or Nothing
For 32% of the audience, however, Belle belongs on their screen with Shawn only. You don’t want to see a new love interest or a Belle buried in her work and her bratty teenager.

You want the couple you fell in love with when they were teenagers themselves. Who says married people can’t be romantic? Or, that said romance can only happen in Hong Kong?

Salem can be a very sexy place… with the right person. And that person is Shawn for Belle. And for all of you.
