Days of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker and General Hospital alum Coby Ryan McLaughlin are poised to co-star in The Nanny Murders, a brand-new offering from the Lifetime network, and boy does it sound like a doozy!
Arianne Zucker and Coby Ryan McLaughlin Are Lifetime Bound
The film follows Jamie, a domestic who is “hired by [Warren] a famous business magnate to be his children’s nanny.” But Jamie’s excitement at being employed by her idol is quickly tempered when he makes an unwanted, sexual advance.
In the incident’s aftermath, Jamie, “discovers that [her employer] has a dark side that he’s willing to kill to keep secret.” But in keeping with the expected quotient of thrills and chills from a Lifetime feature, the tide just might turn against the villainous Warren. After all, one of the flick working titles was Nanny’s Killer Scandal!
In addition to Zucker, who’s poised to play Sheryl and McLaughlin, suitable cast as the despicable Warren, the film also features Mia Topalian as the titular nanny, former GH star Robert Palmer Watkins as Zack, AnaSofia Bianchi and Scarlet Fernandez (Charlotte Cassadine, GH).
This will make Zucker’s seventh appearance in a movie made for the Lifetime network. Her previous credits include Killer Assistant, Ex-Wife Killer, Babysitter’s Nightmare, and His Perfect Obsession.
Early in 2020, Zucker called the film, then known as Nanny Danger “a fabulous Lifetime thriller.” Further elaboration revealed that Zucker will be playing the mother of the children in need of minding and that McLaughlin would be playing her husband.
And though the flick will mark McLaughlin’s first time at the Lifetime rodeo, it’s hardly his first post-GH project. Since exiting the soap, the result of Shiloh being shot dead by Sam McCall, the object of his twisted obsession, McLaughlin has appeared in episodes of NCIS: New Orleans, and Hawaii Five-O as well as the short film The Package.
The Nanny Murders is slated to premiere Sunday, January 10, 2021. Check your local listings for airtimes.
