After a few years away from Salem, Austin and Carrie are headed back to Days of Our Lives.

Another couple from yesteryear are set to resurface in Salem. Austin (Austin Peck) and Carrie (Christie Clark), who last appeared in 2012, are returning to the show in 2017. When last seen, the pair had reconciled after some marital problems. They split town on a high and happy note, when Carrie learned she was expecting their first child. Soap Hub asked if you’re excited for their return.

Eager for a Reed Reunion
Almost 4,000 fans responded and 76% of you are eager to have the Reeds back in the Salem fold. You’ve loved Carrie since she was a little girl and consider her an integral part of the Brady family. Plus, you’re hoping Austin’s return will beef up his mother Kate and brother Lucas’s story lines. Although they’ve had their share of struggles over the years, Carrie and Austin’s relationship has always been one of your favorites. You also can’t wait to find out if they’ll be returning with a little one.

You Can’t Go Home Again
After their last run on Days, 15% of you were happy to see Austin and Carrie leave town and were hoping things would remain that way. You can’t see the point of the pair returning, especially since Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) not around to get into the mix. If the plan is to split them up for the umpteenth time, you’re already over it. No matter, you’ve always found the Reeds to be ho-hum.

Wait and See
Since you haven’t a clue as to the story that brings Austin and Carrie home, 9% of you are undecided about their comeback. If the plot is strong and there’s a real purpose for their return, you’re pretty sure you’ll like it. If it’s not, you’re certain you’ll be majorly disappointed.
