A Days of Our Lives blind item teases that another Salem fave is returning.

According to Serial Scoop, we should “look for this performer to make a quick return to Salem, for a special event that should make fans very happy.” This is in addition to all the returns we already know about, including Greg Vaughn as Eric.

Happy Occasion
So what is the special event that this mystery person is returning to attend? Our best guess is Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John’s (Drake Hogestyn) long-anticipated wedding. It feels like they have been talking about it for months, and we know they’ll want it to be as incredibly special as their previous unions. What is more special to these two than having their family there? Our guess – nothing!

Coming From Near and Far
We already know that Belle (Martha Madison) will be back in 2017, so we don’t think she is the one they are speculating about. But what about the bride’s other daughter? That’s right – our guess is that Sami – in the person of Alison Sweeney – could be character making a quick return. How great would that be for fans see that special reunion at Marlena and John’s big celebration?! It’s been a while since we last saw Sami and Sweeney and she would be welcomed back with open arms – by the viewers, at least.

Darn DiMeras
We’re not so sure any member of the DiMera family will be happy to see Sami. After all, the last time she was in town she stole their money and secretly passed it off to sister Belle, who promptly started spending it. She recently got the money back for Chad’s (Billy Flynn) sake, but still… Andre might have a few issues if he sees her again – and wouldn’t that be fun?
