All My Children and Passions Star McKenzie Westmore Wants YOUR Vote

You loved McKenzie Westmore for years opposite Days of our Lives star Galen Gering (Rafe) on the NBC soap opera Passions as supercouple Sheridan and Luis. Now, Westmore wants your vote to help charities that support our armed forces. And it could land her on a cover of a major publication!

Maxim is holding a cover girl contest and Westmore is one of eight finalists out of a large number of original contenders. The lucky lady who wins will not only grace an upcoming cover of the magazine, but voters can also support soldiers by making a donation when they vote.

“There’s one free vote each day on Facebook,” Westmore tells Soap Hub. “People can also do a ‘Warrior Vote’ and those donations help veterans in need on multiple levels.”

Westmore says that she took on the challenge of this contest for reasons that go far beyond wanting to be a Maxim cover girl. “It’s a big push for charity and helping veterans,” the former Passions and All My Children star says. “I’ve also met so many amazing women through this process, many of whom are gorgeous and should have made it further through in this competition!”

Making Friends

“What’s been fun is that I’ve made friends with a lot of these women and I’ve helped ones who are aspiring actresses with their resumes. One had on hers that she had done high school theater and I said, ‘No. Take out that it was in high school. It’s theater and you did it!’ It’s been amazing to help these young people get into the industry.

“I love to give back on so many levels — first, for the men and women in the armed forces, and to help the women I’ve met go further in the business. If I were to win this, it would show that you can be 40 and do something like be on a cover! That’s the big message I want to send to the younger generation.”
