When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the DAYS week that was.
Another week gone, and another two suspects cleared in the Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) murder case. Rafe (Galen Gering) proved conclusively that Sami (Alison Sweeney) wasn’t even in the country when the fatal bullet was fired, and Ava (Tamara Braun) swore categorically that when she found her son, he was already near death.
So that’s Sami, Ava, and Allie ticked off…but what about Tripp (Lucas Adams)? According to mother dearest, he left Charlie’s apartment seconds before she walked inside. Surely he saw Charlie lying on the floor bleeding out…it was a hard sight to miss.
But did he actually pull the trigger? Or is merely guilty of failing to provide aide to a dying man? And if all four are actually innocent, who does that leave? Nicole (Arianne Zucker) – we know she leveled her own threat against Charlie. Ditto Kate (Lauren Koslow). John (Drake Hogestyn) too, who has even more trouble ahead now that Jan (Heather Lindell) has woken up from her coma.
* Is the Kristen/Susan storyline trying anyone else’s patience? Word of warning: since the entire thing is apparently predicated on Brady (Eric Martsolf) finally wising up and recognizing that Susan (Stacy Haiduk) is, in fact, his baby mama in a bad wig and with false chompers, you can expect it to go on, and on, and on…
* Kate must have had one hell of a headache, considering the fact that she accused Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) of being half-naked (when he had, in fact, only doffed his top shirt), Gabi (Camila Banus) of being in his lap (when she was clearly sitting atop the chair next to him), and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) of being “fickle” when it was actually Rex (Kyle Lowder) who couldn’t decide whether he wanted to bed his ex-wife or her sister or his ex, Mimi Lockhart.
* The minute Chanel (Precious Way) said she’d spent time in South Africa, you just knew that she’d crossed paths with Theo (Cameron Johnson). But not only did their paths cross, but the two of them dated…and Chanel really looked like she was missing what she turned away! (We also can’t wait for her mom, Paulina, to find out her daughter dated Abe’s son!)
* Speaking of Theo, he needs to find a seat, take it, and stay there. Now, we’re all for him being protective of Ciara (Victoria Konefal) – she is, after all, his oldest and dearest friend.
But his whole, “I don’t really know you, Ben, how do I know you changed, I can’t really stand up for you in good conscience” spiel was ridiculous. He knows, REALLY knows how Ciara feels about her husband.
He knows that she married him, fought to save him from Eve Donovan’s (Kassie DePaiva) clutches, and he knows the toll Ciara’s supposed death had on Ben. If he was a true friend, he would clue her in on all that.
But no. he loves the attention his ex is heaping upon him. And it doesn’t appear that he’s going to discourage her anytime soon. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
