When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the Days of our Lives week that was.
Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) has left the building – or, more precisely, she’s been dragged away kicking and screaming (or, at least until the chloroform kicked in); time to start laying odds on who took her and where they stashed her.
EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) is a fine suspect…but the show went a bit out of its way to put Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) in the frame. And, of course, there’s always Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). When in doubt, blame Kristen. Perhaps she decided that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) needed company on DiMera Island?
And speaking of company, Theo Carver’s (Cameron Johnson) gonna need some now that his victim *ahem* we mean, amnesiac bestie cum fiancée remembers loving Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).
* If you forgot that there existed other characters aside from EJ, Sami, Ben, and Ciara (Victoria Konefal), you’re not alone. Seems that Days of our Lives forgot that fact as well since everyone else – and their storylines – got super short-shifted.
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), major players before the Olympic Break, were relegated to a few scenes on Friday’s show – after being totally ignored the other four days – and we didn’t even check back in with the likes of Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Should we care that the show doesn’t care whether or not we care?
* Can someone please explain to us, self-aggrandizement aside, why Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) thinks that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) would give her control of Titan in the unlikely even she and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) get one over on Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson)?
* Anyone else roll their eyes at Lani Grant’s (Sal Stowers) explanation for why she’s so mad at Paulina Price (Jackée Harry)?
