The time is inching closer for the grande dame of the Alamain family to resurface on Days of Our Lives.
Given her history, Vivian’s (Louise Sorel) arrival means nothing will be the same for the town’s citizens, as she’s sure to stir things up in the house of Kiriakis, DiMera, and more.
In preparation for the fiery and flamboyant vet’s reintroduction to Salem, here are seven things to know about Vivian.
Enter Shooting
Vivian made her first appearance in Salem in 1992, and she entered with a bang – literally! She arrived at the Alamain mansion to find Alphonse LeBeque pointing a gun at her nephew Lawrence (Michael Sabatino). Without missing a beat, Vivian walked in and shot Alphonse. Then, she stepped over his body and embraced Lawrence.
Murders, She Wrote
Alphonse hasn’t been Vivian’s only victim. She offed several patients at University Hospital, while trying to frame Dr. Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell) for murder.
And she was responsible for Kate’s pilot’s death, when she drugged his coffee, which led to a plane crash. Plus, she buried Carly alive, entombed Maggie, and tried to kill Melanie three times.
Husbands, She’s Had a Few
Viewers have seen her take three husbands. Victor (John Aniston) begrudgingly married her twice. She wed Jonesy, only to have him die on their wedding night. She also tied the knot with Stefano (Joseph Mascolo), but he was only in it to get hold of the possessions she inherited from Jonesy.
Chipping In
Speaking of Stefano, he once had Dr. Rolf implant a chip in her tooth. The device allowed him to control Vivian’s moods and actions. Lucky for Viv, trusty Dr. Woo eventually found and removed the device.
Scheming Surrogate
Desperate to get closer to Victor, Vivian orchestrated it so she got to carry Kate’s egg, after it was fertilized with his sperm. It led her to carry and deliver their only son, Philip.
Surprise Son
During her last stint on the show, DAYS surprised fans by revealing that Vivian had a son named Quinn from a long-ago affair. Might there be another secret child no one else knew about revealed this time around? It would certainly make things interesting.
Bollywood or Bust
Vivian departed Salem in 2011, when her former man servant, Ivan, who’d become a wealthy and successful filmmaker in India, returned and whisked her away. He promised to give Vivian a starring role in his next movie.
