Eve first arrived in Salem as a teen in the 1980s under the name Eve Baron. She had no home of her own and was befriended by smarmy Nick Corelli, who turned her to a life of prostitution. The young prostitute soon met Kimberly Donovan, who took her under her wing and related to Eve, as she had once been a prostitute, as well. Little did Kim know that Eve was the daughter of her husband Shane and his former crime-fighting partner, Gabrielle. Kim was in for quite a surprise when Eve revealed her true identity and made it clear she blamed Kim for her parents’ break up years earlier.

Shane accepted Eve as her daughter and took him into their home, much to Kim’s dismay. The teen soon fell for Frankie Brady, who only had eyes for Jennifer Horton, making Jennifer and Eve enemies for decades to come. When she realized she could not have Frankie, Eve found a new set of problems when her face was scarred by the Riverfront Knifer. Nick, Eve’s old pimp, now had feelings for her and helped her gain back her self-confidence and eventually have surgery to remove the scar.

Over the next few years, Eve developed a singing career, but retained her vixenish ways. When Nick died, he left all his money to her, but only if she married. She convinced Jack Deveraux to marry her so he could get the funds he needed to save his newspaper. The couple eventually annulled and in the early 1990s, she left town with Frankie.

In 2014, Eve returned to her old stomping grounds in Salem, where her daughter, Paige, was attending Salem High School. Jack Deveraux had died by then and Eve informed Jack’s widow, old rival Jennifer, that the old annulment terms from years ago gave Eve half of anything Jack earned in long-term royalties, either dead or alive. This re-ignited the battle between Eve and Jenn, as they battled it out in court over Jack’s money. Jennifer and Eve had even more drama to contend with as Jenn’s son and Eve’s daughter began a teen romance.
