1. A finance degree got Flynn interesting in acting, although that seems quite unusual. He actually got a job in finance at Warner Brothers, and then decided to work with some of the acting coaches there. After that, there was no looking back to the finance world. Although Chad had previously been played by Casey Jon Deidrich, Flynn decided not to watch him as Chad, but get up-to-speed on the character through word of mouth and reading Internet and magazine articles. Since Chad is a different guy now who has decided to embrace his DiMera heritage, it has not been too hard for Flynn to create a totally different character with the same basic connections to Salem.
