Mark Charnock is a British actor who is best known for playing Marlon Dingle on Emmerdale for nearly 25 years.

Who Is Mark Charnock?
He was born on August 28 in Bolton, Lancashire, England. He attended Canon Slade School, Hull University, as well as Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. He made his television debut in an episode of 2point4 Children back in the early ‘90s.
Soap Career
The actor played a pizza delivery boy on Coronation Street in 1993, but he was cast as Marlon Dingle in Emmerdale in 1996. He has been on the long-running soap ever since, and his character is certainly a fan-favorite.
Awards-Worthy Work
Charnock’s character, Marlon, has been married three different times on Emmerdale, which has led to some very dramatic storylines. Charnock won the award for Best Dramatic Performance at the 2004 British Soap Awards for the storyline in which Marlon had to remove his wife Tricia from life-support. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the 2011 British Soap Awards, as well as for Best Single Episode.
