Five Fast Facts About British Soap Star Jessica Fox

Jessica Fox is a British actress who is best known for playing Nancy Hayton in Hollyoaks for nearly 15 years.

Along with her work on the British soap, Fox has also appeared on shows such as The Bill, Crossroads, The Worst Witch, The Phoenix and the Carpet as well as the highly acclaimed series The Forsyte Saga. From where she was born and raised to recently getting engaged, here are five fast facts you need to know about the actress.

Who Is Jessica Fox?

Fox was born on May 19 in Buckinghamshire, England, where she was also raised. She started acting at a young age and was cast in a Persil commercial, filmed in the “Indiana Jones” style when she was just 8 years old. She went on to appear in West End productions of The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, and Oliver.

First Role
After working in theater, Fox began her television career in 1992 on The Muppet Christmas Carol, in which she voiced the character of the Ghost of Christmas Past. She then went on to appear in shows such as The Bill and The Detective.

Soap Career
Fox was cast as Nancy Hayton in Hollyoaks back in 2005 and has been a part of the show ever since. She has been nominated for a few British Soap Awards throughout her career, including Best Newcomer in 2006 and Best Actress in 2007.

Charity Work

Along with being a successful actress, Fox is also committed to supporting various charities. She supports the charity Breast Cancer Care and has done a number of events, including a charity walk.

She announced her engagement to her partner, Nicholas Willes, in November of this year and showed off her ring in an Instagram post. No word on where or when the wedding will be as of right now.
