Jack P. Shepherd is a British actor who is best known for playing David Platt on Coronation Street for over 20 years.

Who Is Jack P. Shepherd?
He was born on January 14 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, where he was also raised. Prior to working on a soap, Shepherd got his acting start in an episode of Where the Heart Is in 1999.
Soap Career
Just one year after deciding to pursue acting, Shepherd replaced Thomas Ormson as David Platt on Coronation Street. Ormson had previously played the part for 10 years, but now Shepherd has been on the show for nearly double that amount of time.
Winner, Winner
Thanks to his work on the soap, Shepherd has won some major soap awards. He won the British Soap Award for Best Actor in 2018, becoming just the fifth Coronation Street actor to do so, and he also won the British Soap Award for Villain of the Year in 2008.
Theater Vet
Along with working in television, Shepherd has also tried his hand at theater. He played the role of Riff in a production of West Side Story at The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts and he also appeared in a production of Oliver.
Getting Personal With Jack P. Shepherd
Shepherd began dating Lauren Shippey in 2002 and the couple got engaged in April of 2011 before ultimately splitting in October 2017. They have two children together, daughter Nyla Rae (born on February 13, 2009) and son Reuben (born on December 17, 2013). Shepherd also fathered another child, a son named Grayson, in 2011, with Sammy Milewski though he has reportedly yet to meet the boy.
