The Bold and the Beautiful struck gold when it aged up the character of Steffy Forrester in 2008. That’s when Jacqueline MacInnes Wood joined the cast, becoming an instant fan favorite in the process!
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood — Stephanie’s Granddaughter
From the beginning, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood was compared to her TV mother Hunter Tylo, who was playing the role of Taylor Hayes when Wood started on the show. Wood’s Steffy quickly emerged as her own person, going after what she wanted. Steffy had a fling with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and ended up having marriages with both of his sons — Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Steffy shares a daughter, Kelly, with the former.
After Steffy lost Liam to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), she declared her independence stating that she didn’t need a man to complete her. Steffy’s a role model for independent women everywhere. Of course, she didn’t stay single for long. Steffy is currently wed to handsome doctor John ‘Finn’ Finnegan, played by Wood’s fellow Canadian Tanner Novlan.
Passion And Power
Wood is a B&B veteran but she brings the same level of passion and enthusiasm to her role as Steffy that she did when she started on the show. Whether Steffy is facing the dissolution of a marriage, battling opioid addiction, or romantic heartbreak, Wood is not afraid to ‘ugly-cry’ and let the emotions flow out of her body as audiences are glued to the actress’s performance. Wood immerses herself in whatever storyline B&B gives her and the actress delivers.
Whether she’s zip-lining into her own wedding or riding motorcycles, Steffy’s not afraid to jump into the action as she celebrates life and all it has to offer. While Steffy is mom to Kelly and her son Hayes, Wood and husband Elan Ruspoli are parents to sons Rise and Lenix. When Wood appeared on-air at The Talk last November to accept her second Soap Hub Award for Favorite B&B Actress, she shared with audiences that she and Ruspoli are expecting their third child!
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Is the Hostess with the ‘Most-ess’
Wood’s a terrific interview and is able to offer insights into her character that help flesh out what viewers see on-screen. The gracious star has a reputation for being quite the party thrower! She hosted a luncheon in 2020 with the 2021 Daytime Emmy Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series nominees. The tradition of the current year’s contenders gathering to break bread and (we imagine) spill tea started many years ago by Wood’s TV grandmother Susan Flannery, who earned three Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role as Stephanie. Wood is set to host this year’s luncheon as she took home her second Daytime Emmy for top actress in 2021.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood took a brief break from B&B approximately eight years ago, but she soon returned to her TV family and has played Steffy ever since. We can’t imagine the show without either Wood or Steffy and we imagine that someday the character’s portrait will hang in a place of honor in either the Forrester mansion or in her own home!
