After three years of being torn between Caroline and Brooke on The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge made up his mind and proposed to Caroline. But Brooke was convinced that her final fate with Ridge had yet to be decided.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) truly couldn’t believe that Ridge (then Ronn Moss) was going to pledge his love for Caroline (Joanna Johnson). She went to the mission where the ceremony was going to take place, not to disrupt it but just to see for herself it was truly happening.
While the day belonged to Ridge and Caroline, B&B included a powerful showdown scene between arguably the show’s other “supercouple” — Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Brooke!
Confident that Brooke was out of their lives, Stephanie told her off, saying that as time went on they’d forget she was ever in their lives.

Brooke vowed that she would get even with Stephanie no matter how long it took, not knowing that she’d soon fall in love with Steph’s husband (in name only) Eric (John McCook).
Then, the ceremony began. Ridge and Caroline exchanged vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony — both unaware that their marital bliss wouldn’t survive even one year!
