Truth be told, I began watching The Bold and the Beautiful in earnest, because I was intrigued by the Quinn Fuller and Eric Forrester pairing. It was wild and out of the blue with complications at every turn. Namely, Eric’s family who loathed his new bride for good reason.

Bold and the Beautiful: End of the Road

Yet something was mesmerizing about the twosome. Perhaps it was the opposites attract theme and the chemistry between Rena Sofer and John McCook. The Quinn/Eric love story has since wrapped, and Sofer is days away from airing for the final time. In honor of her portrayal of the fascinating character, here are five things I’ll miss about Quinn.

B&B: Diabolical Quinn

Having gone back and watched earlier episodes of B&B, no one was better than playing psychotically unbalanced than Sofer during her initial years as Quinn. She was driven, diabolical and obsessed with managing her son Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) love life. Sofer’s take on the character was wild and wonderful, and she quickly emerged as one of the show’s most fascinating and fiery villainesses.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Mama Bear

Quinn’s mother/son relationship with Wyatt (Darin Brooks) has been one of the most unique in daytime. They have loved each other through thick and thin. Their bond has never wavered, despite all of Quinn’s numerous acts of evil. No one could ever doubt her love and devotion to her only child.

B&B Couples: Quarter Time

The Quinn/Carter affair, much like the Quinn/Eric one, came out of nowhere and worked. She was a married woman feeling unloved and undesirable. He was a reputable guy trying to comfort her. When they quickly succumbed to passion, it was a shocker. Even more shocking was when that fling turned into genuine love. Their story was beguiling from day one.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Female Feuds

Quinn’s battles with the Logan women, particularly Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), fueled the soap for years. It was seriously hard not to side with Quinn when it came to Brooke, who tried to undermine her marriage to Eric at every turn. And Donna constantly hanging around pining for Eric would have tried the patience of a saint, let alone Quinn. Their conflicts and clashes over the years were some of the show’s all-time best.

Hello, Mrs. Forrester

Coming full circle, what I’ll miss most is Quinn’s relationship with Eric. It was not only a true love story but also one of great personal growth for Quinn. Having a man of Eric’s integrity absolutely devoted to her changed Quinn. She turned her life around, matured, and became a better woman. She truly loved Eric from the depths of her soul and proved that when she chose to stay with him despite his battles with ED. In the end, they parted amicably, still loving friends, which was a true testament to the special relationship they shared.
