Sheila Carter’s bombshell reveal as John “Finn” Finnegan’s biological mother was a twist no one (except the entire audience) saw coming. While we understand The Bold and the Beautiful crowd circling the wagons, we just don’t get why they are shocked to see Sheila in L.A. or why are they not sharing their concerns with their Genoa City friends?
Bold and the Beautiful: Check Please!
Didn’t Sheila take up a new career in waitressing the last time she appeared? And, didn’t Eric Forrester (John McCook) and the rest of his family make peace with the fact she was there? Sheila went from a holy terror to fading into the background and simply bringing them dinner instead of bringing them trouble. No one was worried before, or for years, but now she’s a problem? Now she’s a devil?
The Mother of All Problems
Okay, okay, yes, we get it, she’s Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) mom and the Forresters should worry about the doctor and baby Hayes, and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (especially since she lambasted her mother-in-law).
However, Sheila wasn’t exactly upset Finn was marrying Steffy. In fact, she was elated. This brought her closer to the family. Now, instead of just being related to Ridge through Diana, she is related to everyone through Hayes. One big happy family, right?

Someone Ring the Alarm Bells
What really concerns us is why no one in L.A. has mentioned Sheila’s return to poor Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman). You would think Eric would be on the phone post-haste to spill all, or heck, at least think to check in with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), seeing as how they’ve met up recently. Shouldn’t the people of Genoa City know Sheila is on the prowl once again?
We’re sure Sheila isn’t an immediate threat to the gals in Wisconsin right now, but who knows if she’s going to snap and fly out there after making a mess in L.A. A little heads-up would be nice, right?
No matter what, we can’t wait to see what Sheila Carter brings to the table this time. She’s exactly what L.A. needs right now and maybe even Genoa City too — a little bit down the line.
