If there was ever a soap duo that was fast-tracked to coupledom, it’s The Bold and the Beautiful’s Steffy and Finn. One minute, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was waking up in the hospital staring into the eyes of the handsome Dr. Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). The next, she was totally enamored with him and vice versa.
The Bold and the Beautiful Commentary: Where Was the Romance?
As a viewer, it’s hard not to feel cheated out of the romance the pair never had. Because let’s be honest, there wasn’t any. COVID-19 restrictions might have played a part in some of what didn’t transpire between Steffy and Finn, yet the bulk of the blame is on inexplicably swift storytelling.
No matter, Steffy and Finn are happily engaged, and fans are on board. However, it sure would be nice to make up for the courting and getting-to-know-you rituals they never had. Here are four moments we really want to see between the couple.
Day at the Beach
Is there anything more romantic than a day at the beach? Steffy and Finn should grab a blanket and a picnic basket and take a stroll on the sand. They could share a romantic lunch together, before running into the ocean and having a playful water fight.

Family Time
Scenes involving children were limited over the past year, so Finn’s barely spent any time with Steffy’s daughter, Kelly. It would be sweet to see the trio make up for lost time and do some fun family bonding, especially since Finn’s about to become the little girl’s stepfather. Maybe the tyke could run into Finn’s arms, and he could twirl her around, while she giggled with laughter.
Real Love Scene
To date, all of Steffy and Finn’s passionate love scenes have included a stand-in actress: Novlan’s real-life wife, actress Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin, BB). Now that restrictions have loosened, it’s time to see a genuine moment between MacInnes Wood and Novlan. Who knows. Maybe their chemistry could take things to new heights.
Time to Celebrate
Since Steffy accepted Finn’s proposal, and MacInnes Wood departed on maternity leave, there’s been no celebrating the couple’s happy news. It’s time the Forrester family do what they do best: toss the pair a lavish engagement party. Everyone could get dressed up in their black-tie finest and make a champagne toast to the loving duo, who would take center stage at the soiree. They deserve it, and so do viewers.
