It’s been said that art imitates life and vice versa but The Bold and the Beautiful star Sean Kanan found out that sometimes art imitates art. In the Lifetime movie Killer Ambition, he plays a wayward father who returns to his daughter’s life.
Sean Kanan Has Killer Ambition
“I play the lead character’s father, who is a person from her past and he resurfaces in her life,” Sean Kanan tells Soap Hub. Lifetime describes Killer Ambition as being about a successful businesswoman named Sylvia (played By Tahnee Harrison) who joins an exclusive entrepreneur society for women. Danger ensues when she becomes the target of suspicious attacks. She’ll begin questioning the intentions of everyone in her life.
In addition to Kanan and Harrison, the film stars Jonathan Stoddard (ex-Young John Abbott, The Young and the Restless), Carrie Schroeder (Why Women Kill), and Monique Parent (Blame the Hero).
Passions Star Lindsay Hartley Directs
Lindsay Hartley (ex-Theresa, Passions; ex-Cara, All My Children; ex-Arianna, Days of our Lives; ex-Sam, General Hospital) directed the film. “Lindsay’s terrific,” raves Sean Kanan. “She’s an actress so it’s easy to talk to her as a director. She understands actors — how we think, how we work. She’s done more than a couple of these films. It was a really good experience.”
Ironically, Kanan says he hasn’t yet seen the completed film. “I saw a couple of scenes but I’m very curious to see what it looks like,” he says. Kanan shot the film last summer a few months before he returned to B&B as Deacon. “It’s going to be fun entertainment,” Sean Kanan says of Killer Ambition. “It’s a good story and there are some really good twists and turns. The movie’s a guilty pleasure. I really think that people will enjoy it.”
Sean Kanan’s Back on The Bold and the Beautiful
Sean Kanan returned to B&B last October after Deacon was sprung from prison. His first order of business was to re-establish a relationship with his daughter Hope. Last New Year’s Eve, Deacon shared a smooch with Hope’s mom Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) — unbeknownst to Deacon and Brooke little Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) witnessed the two locking lips, convinced that his grandmother was kissing Santa Claus as Deacon was wearing a St. Nick cap!
Killer Ambition debuts Friday, January 21 on LMN (Lifetime) at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. central time.) The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
