Heather Tom has had her share of medical dramas on The Bold and the Beautiful, what with Katie Logan having had a heart and a kidney transplant. Now, the actress is sharing news of a personal medical milestone.
Heather Tom — An Important Health Update
“Fully #vaccinated today!” Tom posted on Instagram, displaying her vaccine card. “So grateful for #science!! I bawled all the way through it – for some reason it was really emotional for me.” You can almost see the actress’s smile behind her mask in her post below.
Tom says being fully vaccinated is good news not only for her but for her mother Marie as Tom will now be able to give a big hug! “My mother is extremely high risk- she’s been vaccinated for awhile but I can’t wait to give her a real hug!!!” the six-time Daytime Emmy winner shares. “#happytears #vaccinationdone✔️ #ᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴇssᴀᴠᴇʟɪᴠᴇs.”
The actress/director is always up for a discussion about topical issues, however, she feels that if you’re against getting vaccinated, you can take the discussion away from her posting area. “[S]eriously for everyone out there who doesn’t agree with the science – skip my comment section or just unfollow – I really don’t need anyone raining on my parade. As my mother would say, #IfyoucantSaySomethingNiceDontSayAnythingAtAll.”
Tom’s TV sister, Jennifer Gareis (Donna), chimed in with supportive words. “Yah sis!! Me too!” Gareis posted. “Can the #logangirls finally go back to hugging as well? Give your mom a hug from me!!!!!” The actress added both happy tears and heart emojis to drive home her point.
Both Tom and Gareis joined BB around the same time. Gareis debuted as Donna in July 2006. Tom joined one year and one month later in August 2007. Previously, both actresses had appeared on The Young and the Restless. Gareis was Grace Turner; Tom was Victoria Newman. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS.
