The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, December 16, 2020, features Liam’s continued his spiral, Hope needing a listening ear, and Thomas leaning on Ridge.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
Liam (Scott Clifton) went on and on about how much he loved Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) again. He adored her, he wished he had a life with her, blah, blah, blah. Then, he told her he wanted to spill the truth. Better now than later, eh? Not so much for Steffy.
Steffy Put Liam In His Place
Steffy talked him off that ledge again and put her foot down once and for all. Telling their secret would destroy Hope (Annika Noelle), hurt Finn (Tanner Novlan), and punish Steffy. Enough was enough with that silly talk. They had to hide their betrayal, especially if Liam wanted to stay married.
Hope Needed Help
Meanwhile, Hope was at the hospital telling Finn (Tanner Novlan) the rest of the details of Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) breakdown and asking for his advice. What should she do from here on out? She wanted to be a friend to Thomas and be there for him, but she needed to make clear boundaries. Liam is her husband, she is committed to her marriage, and that will never change.

Thomas Made Another Confession
As for Thomas, he opens up to his father. He cried to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) about how real the Hope mannequin seemed. It was like Hope was really there. She walked, she talked, they kissed. How far gone was he? How far gone IS he? Thomas worried his descent into madness was not a one-time thing.
Thomas then admitted he still loved Hope deeply. He wanted to be a better man for her and Douglas so he could prove himself, even if it was just to be her friend. She is the woman of his dreams, but he now knows he may never have her.
A Father’s Compassion
Ridge did not want to concentrate on his son’s downfall, but rather his recovery. Ridge urged Thomas to pick himself back up, dust himself off, let Hope be, and live his best life. Ridge knows what it is like to love someone he can’t have. He promised Thomas would get through this. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
