Sofer’s so proud of her daughter and her turning 15 that she posted twice about it. In the first post, she wrote: “This little girl is all Growns up today!! So proud to be her mother and so very proud she chose me for the job!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVALON!! I love you so much!!!! #happybirthday #15yearsold #birthdaywishes.”

The actress came to the attention of soap fans when she played Rocky on ABC sudser Loving, but she really landed on the daytime map when she was hired to play Lois Cerullo on GH. Sofer left Port Charles to test the primetime waters and worked consistently on such series as 24, Heroes, NCIS, Coupling, Just Shoot Me, Ed, The Chronicle, and Oh, Grow Up.
From 1998-99, Sofer played Eve Cleary on the nighttime soap Melrose Place. Sofer won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1995 for her role as Lois. In 2004, GH recast the part with Lesli Kay, who ironically, went on to join the cast of BB as Felicia, who is Quinn’s stepdaughter courtesy of her marriage to Eric (John McCook).
