Fans who miss seeing Jacob Young on The Bold and the Beautiful as Rick may soon be in for a treat. The actor has revealed that he’s embarking on a new project that could put him back on screen in the future!
New Project For Jacob Young
“Catching some morning sun reading an incredibly exciting new fantasy-driven script, even more excited to be part of,” Young posted on Instagram. “This story was a best selling novel and now looks to be a five-episode movie series. Sometimes Mondays can feel good.”
So far, Young’s mum on the name of this novel but his fans are already thrilled about this exciting new venture.
As a shirtless Young is outside in his photo, one poster, @eguerrero.781, wrote: “Remember sunblock.” Added @lisar4366. “Great!!! Good luck!! Can’t wait for more details!!!”
“Keep us posted on what the series is!” added @wasmann45. “I want to watch.” Added @claudiajaynes: “You’re so blessed and happy🌹. Enjoy your reading.”
Young first joined BB in late 1997 as Rick, the son of Eric (John McCook) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Thrust into a front-burner storyline as part of the show’s younger set, Young surprisingly left the show two years later. He went on to play General Hospital’s Lucky, for which he won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in a Drama Series, and then, he traveled east to take on the role of JR Chandler, the son of Dixie Cooney (Cady McClain) and Adam Chandler (David Canary).
After AMC ended in 2011, Young returned to BB and resumed the role of Rick, all grown up. Rick jockeyed for position at Forrester and romanced Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and Maya (Karla Mosley), marrying the latter following the reveal that she was transgender and had been born Myron.
Alas, Rick and Maya split up off-camera. He’s currently abroad at Forrester International. Soap Hub will report updates on Young’s latest venture as details unfold. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
