Soap opera veteran Cady McClain and her General Hospital star husband, Jon Lindstrom, take the requests (and some places, requirements) to wear masks in public and seriously and McClain has a message about masks and why they are so important.
Cady McClain: A Message About Masks
The actress shared a photo of herself and Lindstrom masked up on Instagram and recalled a recent encounter she had, while admitting that like everyone else, that she can’t wait to get back to a normal life.
“Someone said to us recently ‘why are you wearing masks?’ and gestured to the clear sky in the mountains where we were walking. I was dumbfounded. I said, ‘well, everyone should be wearing them.” And he was dumbfounded.
“Look ya’ll… clean air or not clean air isn’t the issue where an airborne disease is concerned. It’s little droplets of ‘me’ flying over to ‘you’ or vice versa. That’s why I wear a mask. Because I care about you and the people I love as well as myself.

I don’t want to be a carrier or a receiver or a giver of this nasty virus! Do I want it to be over? YES. I’m SO OVER IT. But it ain’t over till it’s over…and we still have miles to go. So be a lover of your fellow neighbor and slap on a mask when you’re out and about this summer.

More and more scientific research is finding that population-wide compliance with wearing masks can halt the coronavirus spread that has killed more than 115,000 Americans and also put soaps on hold for months. The Bold and the Beautiful returned to production this week with a mask requirement but already put work on pause till June 23 to expand testing and keep cast and crew safe.
