The week of September 28, 2020

A new member of the Buckingham family is headed to town. Diamond White has begun taping scenes as Paris Buckingham, Zoe’s (Kiara Barnes) sister. It’s a contract role, and the character is slated to begin airing in November.

Diamond is best known for her gig as Lala on the former Fox hit, Empire. She also had a recurring role on Netflix’s dramatic comedy series Dear White People, where she played Penelope Conners-Fairbanks.

As BB continues to expand its African-American cast, it could be time to bring back a prominent actor from the show’s past: Texas Battle who played Marcus Forrester, Donna (Jennifer Gareis), and Justin’s (Aaron B. Spears) son, from 2008 to 2013.

In a recent interview, Battle expressed interest in returning to the show, noting that it was time for Marcus “to be reunited [with] and come home to his BB family.” The character has been MIA since he left town to handle international sales for Forrester Creations in South Africa.

The Bold and the Beautiful History

BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
