The Bold and the Beautiful rectified Bill Spencer’s absence on our screens by writing in a series of energetic scenes where Don Diamont showcased his vibrant energy as the publishing magnate. Soap Hub is bestowing Performer of the Week for B&B honors on Diamont for his entertaining performances.
Don Diamont – Performer of the Week
When the Spencer men — Bill and his sons Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Liam (Scott Clifton) — gathered for a meal at Il Giardino, they addressed Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) latest marital drama.
For weeks, folks have been ganging up on Brooke for her lapse with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) so Bill’s presence on the canvas and his clear support of Brooke was most welcome. Wyatt and Liam know better than to try to change their dad’s mind when he’s made it up. Don Diamont brings a forceful bravado to his character — Bill knows what he knows and good luck changing his mind!
Bill’s been keeping his distance from Brooke out of respect to his former wife Katie Logan (Heather Tom). However, Brooke could use a visit from Bill (Don Diamont) and, as previously reported, one is happening in the coming weeks in B&B’s 35th-anniversary episode. That’s when Brooke will interact with Bill and other important men in her life.
“Oh, boy, you two…” Bill groaned at his sons, who weren’t seeing his point of view. “Forrester is a deadbeat — just as bad as Deacon. He’s just never been held accountable…” Liam tried to point out a few facts to his dad. Umm. That was a mistake. “I don’t need you to tell me what the point is Liam,” Bill asserted. “Brooke should be mad as hell. Where does Forrester get off making her feel like a failure when he’s the one who quit — again?”
The more Wyatt and Liam tried to present the facts objectively the more Bill felt justified in defending Brooke and letting his boys know they were off the mark. Don Diamont plays Bill as a man, who is utterly confident and doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Bill’s not always in the right (his plan to lie about Liam hitting Vinny with his car last year didn’t go exactly as planned). However, Bill has the capability of defending to the max the people for whom he cares. He’s more #TeamBrooke than ever before. She’s needed an ally as of late and B&B viewers have needed Bill Spencer back on their screens! Bravo to Don Diamont for always bringing Bill’s charm and passion to our screens!
